Christian Serratos Had the Most Wholesome Reaction to Jennifer Lopez's Support of 'Selena: The Series'

• Like many, Christian has been a fan of J.Lo's 4ever and watched her in Selena the movie.

If you haven't seen Selena: The Series on Netflix yet, I have one question for you: WYD??? It's quality television and it's so good, that it literally has the Jennifer Lopez seal of approval. Naturally, J.Lo's thumbs up caused Christian Serratos, the show's star, to fangirl on The Kelly Clarkson Show out of sheer excitement.

"I didn't see that coming at all," she told Kelly Clarkson. "I'm such a fan of hers and grew up watching that movie. I know that movie backwards and forwards and she did such an amazing job playing Selena."

Though Christian is glad she's been receiving positive criticism for her portrayal of Selena Quintanilla, she's also a little anxious because it gives her "a lot more pressure because not only am I stepping into Selena's shoes, but I'm having to follow in the footsteps of Jennifer."

Last month, the show posted a video of J.Lo praising the series on their official Instagram page. "Guys, I don't know if you've heard about this new Selena series on Netflix," the triple threat said. "Playing Selena was kind of a landmark moment in my career and I was so excited when I saw the trailer and heard about it. It's a great way for this generation to get to know Selena. I love Selena. She's such a big part of my life and my career. And I can't wait to see it. It's on Netflix December 4."

I'm sure the real Selena is just as proud. ❤️
