During Sunday night's American Music Awards, everyone from hosts Gigi Hadid and Jay Pharoah to musical guests like Green Day took aim at Donald Trump and the presidential election. So when Chrissy Teigen took the stage to introduce husband John Legend, you just knew she was going to speak up.

"His songs are bigger than either of us," she said, "and on the heels of what's been a really interesting, fucked up, fucking election for all of us, I think we could all use a little love tonight." The curse words were bleeped by the ABC broadcast, but it was pretty clear what she was getting at.

After the speech, Teigen took critics to task about her language. She retweeted one "concerned" viewer who noted that kids are still awake, and added, "My baby is asleep, you need to sleep train booboo."
