Chrissy Teigen Surprised A Viral TikToker Who Has Been Cooking Her Way Through ‘Cravings’

When scrolling through TikTok, you likely come across plenty of accounts that go viral for content based on passion projects. For Michelle Kaplin (AKA @michkapcooks), her passion project has been following along with every recipe in Chrissy Teigen's Cravings cookbook. Once Chrissy heard of her kitchen adventures, she got in touch with Michelle's friends for a surprise.
A video posted on Chrissy's YouTube account shows the cookbook author meeting up with her biggest TikTok fan. It also included footage of the moment Michelle found out that she was invited to Chrissy's apartment to cook with her, as well as her unboxing her own Cravings merch.
"I'm so excited to be here in New York. You know we came out here to bring the family, to come to see our apartment, we haven't been here in so, so long," Chrissy explained in the video: "But I'm mostly excited to meet this girl who's been cooking through my cookbook, Julie and Julia style, her name is Michelle."
In fact, after graduating college and watching the film, which follows a young woman that cooks through all of Julia Child's recipes, Kaplin decided she needed her own project. After trying Chrissy's biscuits and gravy recipe from Cravings, she decided that would be the cookbook she would experiment with.

"I feel like I know you through this process, it's crazy," Michelle said to Chrissy in the video, before preparing the garlicky brown butter-basted steak recipe that Chrissy perfected.
This is exactly the kind of wholesome content I needed this Friday. And also the dinner inspiration I needed for this weekend...steak it is!
