See Chrissy Teigen Bash into an Umbrella on New Year's Eve on Live TV

• Chrissy Teigen co-hosted NBC's New Year's Eve coverage in Times Square, alongside Saturday Night Live's Leslie Jones and Carson Daly.

• At midnight, Teigen went in to embrace Jones, only to be hit in the eye with Jones' umbrella. The hilarious, but slightly painful looking moment has understandably gone viral.

• Jones apologized for the accident on social media, to which Teigen replied that she was going back out to Times Square this morning to find her eye.

Chrissy Teigen's New Year's Eve was pretty damn eventful before she managed to bash right into Leslie Jones' umbrella on live TV. For one, thanks to the extremely wet weather, Teigen got soaked in the rain, while her co-hosts all had their umbrellas out.

And having already drawn criticism for talking about vaginal steaming on air-although that certainly sounds informative-Teigen managed to get hit in the face with an umbrella as the clock struck midnight.

Going in for a midnight smooch, Teigen seemed to misjudge the height of Leslie Jones' umbrella, and was consequently struck in the face. Shared by @Morecently and @BigstoolBarCat on Twitter, an epic video clip shows the moment that Teigen accidentally got smacked right in the face with an umbrella, and her hilarious reaction as a result:

Reacting to the moment, Jones tweeted an apology to Teigen writing, "Ugh I can’t believe I hit @chrissyteigen in face!! Lordt!! I love you boo!! So sorry!! #thatswhyihateumbrellas":

And true to form, Teigen had the perfect comeback to crashing into an umbrella on New Year's Eve:

Basically, as we head into 2019, this is an important reminder that Teigen is capable of turning any moment into gold, and we're all just lucky to have her.
