Chrissy Teigen Making Banana Bread On Twitter Is The Most Mesmerizing Thing I’ve Ever Seen

Chrissy Teigen has been keeping us up to date daily while staying at home with her family and it looks like she's been stress baking like the rest of us during her self-quarantine. Yesterday's activity included making banana bread, but of course there was a Chrissy twist. Apparently, she needed romaine in the house so took to Twitter to make a trade.

"I’ll make a banana bread for anyone that has romaine lettuce. The trade will be made 6 feet apart and we will place the goods on the floor. no funny business," Chrissy tweeted. Unsurprisingly, the responses rolled in because who wouldn't want to do a random food trade-off with Chrissy Teigen?! Comedian Chris Klemens replied with a photo of him next to a bag of romaine, but Chrissy was skeptical.

To prove the photo was taken in real time, Chris posted a video of him showing the date on his watch with the romaine in hand, which earned Chrissy's trust.

She replied with a photo of a bunch of browned bananas which we all know are ideal for making delicious banana bread. Then, more drama struck, as Chrissy realized she only had enough for one batch of bread and John didn't want her to trade it. "I only have enough for one banana bread and john is not happy I’m trading it. Would you accept half a banana bread? please... my family. Have mercy on us," she said, before adding, "I will throw in a slice of pie."

It seems that Chris accepted the offer, before noting the irony of the whole situation, "Am I... fighting with John Legend over banana bread?? Lmfao yes that is fine," he said. It's unclear if this trade is still taking place, but it was planned for some point later today, so hopefully this thrilling saga continues.

Might I add that Chrissy's banana bread looks absolutely amazing? She cooked it inside of a bundt cake pan and the way it rose inside of it was nothing short of magic. Her secrets? To make sure the banana bread gets out of the pan with no residue, she rubs soft butter all over and then hits it with a handful of flour. To keep the bread golden and fluffy, she adds a package of JELL-O vanilla pudding powder. The more you know!
