Thank you People for making John Legend your Sexiest Man Alive for 2019, because it gave the world these tweets from his wife Chrissy Teigen.

Legend gave a diplomatic interview to the outlet about receiving the distinction, saying, “I was excited, but I was a little scared at the same time because it’s a lot of pressure. Everyone’s going to be picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title. I’m [also] following Idris Elba, which is not fair and is not nice to me!”

That's cute and humble, but Teigen was living it up on Twitter.

She teased the announcement an honor before it came out, writing, "I have big news and it’s killing me I can’t say it and it’s not a baby." Then an hour later, People broke the cover with Legend, and Teigen tweeted it, writing, "my secret is out. I have fulfilled my dream of having boned @people's sexiest man alive!! an honor!!!!!"

Teigen thanked Twitter for its congratulatory messages on her sex:

She then shared a video of the couple's children, Luna and Miles', reactions to his win. "The kids...do not care," she wrote.

And wrote, "I cannot WAIT for people to get mad about John being the sexiest man alive. it's my new Starbucks holiday cup." She asked Twitter not to alert her to the bad reactions. "no don't send it to me please. I like to see these people naturally, in the wild."

She retweeted her husband musing about succeeding Idris Elba in the honor:

Then shared People's video cover and Twitter's custom Legend hashtag emoji with her own commentary.

Her last two moves were to update her Twitter bio to "de-motivational speaker currently sleeping with people's sexiest man alive," and alert the world that Legend made her a sandwich. What a journey.

Meanwhile on Instagram, she just posted the cover with a simple caption: "😍 you’ve come a long way, baby."
