Chrissy Teigen Just Posted a Video of Her Stretch Marks to Make an Important Point

In another relatable move, 'Cravings' author Chrissy Teigen posted a photo of her stretch marks to Instagram and Twitter to make a really important point.

Chrissy Teigen's been quite open about her body insecurities in the past, revealing just last August that she's cried over the pressures of Instagram. Her confession made so many people battling body image issues feel less alone, and she continued this transparency last night (July 30) on social media. While hanging out at the pool with husband John Legend and her two children, Teigen shared a video of her stretch marks and simply remarked, "I guess these just aren't 'gonna go away. This is my body."

To make sure her followers knew she wasn't shaming herself, Teigen followed up her video with a few tweets. "Mom bod alert," she wrote before continuing, "Instagram is crazy. I think it’s awesome people have killer bodies and are proud to show them off (I really do!!) but I know how hard it can be to forget what (for lack of a better word) regular ol’ bodies look like when everyone looks bonkers amazing."

The Cravings author admits, however, she isn't fully there when it comes to body confidence. "I’m still super insecure," she wrote. "I’m just happy that I can make anyone else out there feel better about themselves!"

Of course, to make this stream of confessions on brand, Teigen peppered in a few jokes. "Mosquito bites are a nice touch," she also captioned the video. Then, at the end, she tweeted, "OK back to being stupid!"

But fans aren't ready to move on from Teigen's video. Hundreds of people flocked to both Twitter and Instagram and thanked her for helping them feel more at peace with their bodies. "You have no idea how much better you just made me feel. I even showed my husband: look Chrissy has stretch marks where I do," one woman wrote. "Thank you for assuring women everywhere that this is normal, OK and expected," another one wrote.

Thanks, CT, for reminding us of such an important point: that our bodies are forever changing, and that's 100 percent OK.
