Chrissy Teigen Joined John Legend on Stage at a Rally for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris

Chrissy Teigen has quite understandably been keeping a low profile since she and John Legend lost their third child, a boy they named Jack, due to pregnancy complications. 

Recently she made a return to social media, and on November 1, Teigen made her first public appearance—for a cause very important to her: the 2020 election. She joined her husband on stage, wrapping her arms around him, in Pennsylvania where he was performing at a campaign event in support of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Their children, Luna and Miles, were also on hand for the event. 

Both Teigen and Legend have been vocal critics of President Donald Trump for years and have also often lent their support to Democratic candidates. Earlier in the day, Teigen teased fans on social media to guess where she was. 

She also shared footage of her and Legend’s motorcade to the event in chilly Philly, joking that it was “so presidential.” 

Legend did not hold back in his speech to Biden/Harris supporters, even calling out some fellow musicians (though not by name). 

“Now, some people see the meanness, the bullying, the selfishness of Donald Trump and they mistake it for strength, a kind of twisted masculinity. Some see his greed and they mistake it for being good at business,” he said. “Some of your former favorite rappers have been taken in by these lies. I think they even founded a new supergroup, it’s called the Sunken Place.”

The singer shared a clip of the speech, adding “Let’s end this national nightmare.”

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend weren’t the only high-profile celebrities on the campaign trail for Biden and Harris last night. Lady Gaga also performed at an event in Pittsburgh after spending the day out and about in Pennsylvania with former VP Biden. 

“To all the women and all the men with daughters and sisters and mothers, everybody, no matter how you identify, now is your chance to vote against Donald Trump, a man who believes his fame gives him the right to grab one of your daughters or sisters or mothers or wives by any part of their bodies,” she said. “Vote for Joe. He’s a good person. Thank you.”
