Chrissy Teigen Gloriously Shows Off Her Postpartum Mesh Underwear

A mere three days after giving birth to her second child, son Miles Theodore Stephens, Chrissy Teigen posted a photo on Instagram of herself with her underwear visible above the waistband of the skirt she's wearing—and the underwear in mention is of the disposable mesh (often hospital-issued) variety.

"If you haven't seen @aliwong's new Netflix special, you are bad at picking Netflix specials #asianpearunderwear," Teigen captioned the photo, in which she also holds a mesh-encased pear. Teigen is referencing Ali Wong's latest standup special, Hard Knock Wife, in which the comedian goes into hilarious detail about postpartum bodies and, yes, compares the stretchy mesh underwear that hospitals give new moms to the sleeves wrapped around pears in gift baskets.

For the uninitiated: Many new moms swear by their mesh underwear, since it's comfortable, holds postpartum pads and ice securely in place, and can be thrown away at the end of the day. Kristen Bell even posted about her own "#meshpanties" last December.

Other moms praised Teigen's honest depiction of real life after childbirth and shared their own love of mesh underwear.

"Omg!!! That was so funny and so right on!" Jessica Alba commented. "Same boat! Adult diapers for the win! Congratulations on the little one!" Jordin Sparks wrote. "I love those underwear they were lifesaver after birth," Jaime King chimed in, while Bethenny Frankel added, "YUP," and Wong herself posted a raised fist emoji in solidarity.

Countless more non-celebrity moms joined in as well: "#therealest @chrissyteigen you are the GOAT 🏆 Congrats on the new baby!" one wrote. "You're a super woman!" another wrote. "Thank you for always being real, and helping us moms feel more real, and relatable."
