Chrissy Teigen has a message for working moms everywhere: You’re doing great.

The multi-talented celebrity mom praised others balancing a career and motherhood this week after a fan asked her to share her personal experience working while raising her two kids, Luna and Miles.

“Girl I have HELP and a half. That’s it,” Teigen tweeted. “There is no way I could have done it without it. I’m so lucky to have it and I don’t know how anyone else does it. I have so much respect for all of you.”

Teigen, who shares her kiddos with husband John Legend, is undeniably busy. She’s written cookbooks (including one for kids), designed a line of kitchenware, hosts shows Bring the Funny and Lip Sync Battle, partners with brands like BECCA Cosmetics and Quay eyewear, and still manages to be one of the funniest celebrities on Twitter. As an outsider, it’s easy to look at her life, complete with perfect Instagram posts and a flourishing career, and get down about your own — especially since a victory for some of us moms is managing to brush our teeth in the morning.

Though Teigen’s tweet may have seemed like a small gesture, her message resonated with dozens of working moms who thanked her for her honesty.

“Thank you for lifting up other moms,” one commenter wrote. “This is how it’s done! We need more of this!”

Another tweeted: “THANK YOU for being so real. This is hard; new moms shouldn’t be fed an illusion.”

Being a working mom isn’t an easy feat. In 28 U.S. states, the cost of childcare exceeds the cost of college tuition, a price that’s far too expensive for many parents to shoulder. And for some moms, going back to work after having children actually decreases their wages, making childcare even less affordable and accessible. (If this isn’t enough of an argument for universal childcare, I don’t know what is.) Add to that the guilt that so many working moms feel for “leaving” their children behind to pursue their careers, and it’s no wonder Teigen’s tweet elicited such a substantial response.

It’s time to let go of the comparisons and, like Teigen, acknowledge all of the hard work everyday moms are doing to keep themselves and their families afloat. Sure, we may have spit-up on our blouses and won’t ever rack up 100,000+ likes on our Instagram pics, but we’re doing the best we can. Maybe, just maybe, that’s enough.
