Chrissy Teigen’s outerwear game is strong. Never ones to settle for standard-issue fashion, Teigen and her stylist Monica Rose look to the runway for their cold-weather inspiration. In the last 48 hours alone, the modeling star has worn luxe pieces from Chloe and Alexander McQueen as she’s braved New York’s frosty temperatures. Still, Teigen may have saved her best for last. This morning as she left her hotel in Manhattan with her husband, John Legend, she chose a standout from Jacquemus’s Fall 2019 collection. Her Thika trench was unmistakable thanks to its herringbone pattern and dramatic floor-grazing silhouette. Though she opted for the olive version instead of the bold leopard print that featured in Simon Porte Jacquemus’s show, the effect was every bit as arresting.

Paired with Saint Laurent boots, a crossbody flap bag, and reflective sunglasses, the trench fit neatly into the model-off-duty repertoire, though its appeal is hardly limited to runway stars. An easy way to look polished in seconds, the coat can be worn with jeans, dresses, or just about anything else. Cozy without seeming like thermal gear, it’s perfect for autumn and multi-tasking moms on the go.
