Chrissy Teigen Celebrated Removing Her Breast Implants With a Hilarious Cake

Back in May, Chrissy Teigen announced she was having surgery (after people on social media wondered why she was getting a COVID-19 test). When some fans expressed concerns about her health, she revealed the procedure was to remove her breast implants. And now she’s celebrating with a custom cake marking their demise.

The cookbook author posted a photo to her Instagram Stories of the cake, complete with a tombstone that reads, “RIP 2006-2020.”

“Hi hi! So I posted myself getting a COVID test on the Twitter, as I’m getting surgery soon. A lot of people are understandably curious (and nosey!) so I’ll just say it here: I’m getting my boobs out!” she wrote on Instagram prior to her surgery. “They’ve been great to me for many years but I’m just over it. I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort! No biggie! So don’t worry about me! All good. I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat. Which is all a tit is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat. ❤️”

Teigen let fans know everything went well—and also shared a very adorable note from her daughter, Luna, about getting her “boobs out.” “Surgery went great! the note I woke up to is the absolute best part,” she tweeted.

Not to worry—Teigen and John Legend’s equally cute son, Miles, had a message for his mommy too. “Couldn’t miss this for a day longer! All back home and nestled into my nook,” she wrote in a caption alongside a video of Miles telling her he missed and loved her. Cue all the “awwwwwwwwws.”

Sounds like the celebrations at the Chrissy Teigen–John Legend house, from birthdays to breast implant removals, continue to be enviable and awesome. We’re glad the procedure went well!
