At the end of March, Chrissy Teigen deactivated her Twitter account after explaining that the negativity on the platform deeply affected her. After about three weeks off the platform, the cookbook author and television personality reactivated her account and it seems she might be back for good.

"Turns out it feels TERRIBLE to silence yourself," Chrissy wrote in her first post back on Twitter early on April 16: "And also no longer enjoy belly chuckles randomly throughout the day and also lose like 2000 friends at once lol."

When she announced she'd be stepping back from the platform, she cited the harassment she faced from other users saying: "This no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that’s the right time to call something.”

Despite leaving Twitter, Chrissy was still active on Instagram posting photos of her family, her latest Cravings endeavors, and a post in celebration of her mom's official cookbook release. Upon her return to Twitter, Chrissy said that she is now choosing to "take the bad with the good" when it comes to her presence on the site.

Although she hasn't been gracing our timelines with her candid stories and jokes for a couple of weeks now, Chrissy proved that being funny on Twitter is like riding a bike. When one follower asked her if she had any anecdotes from her hiatus to share, Chrissy quipped back: " I’ve spent weeks just saying tweets to shampoo bottles."
