Chris Russo, Taylor Swift

Radio personality Chris Russo shared some strong words for CBS about how much they showed singer Taylor Swift and her friends in their suite at the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 11.

During his SiriusXM radio show on Monday, Russo started talking about how much screen time Swift got in the game after a caller brought up the topic. In total, Swift was shown on screen for less than a minute of the Super Bowl show. But for Russo, this didn't seem to matter.

"They overdid it yesterday," he said. "I mean, I don't care if it's only a split-second. They must've gone to that suite for Taylor Swift 9,000 times—way over the top."

While he went on to note that he thinks Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce, who is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, have "a caring relationship, which I don't think it's fake; that I like," Russo still believes "they went to her way, way too many times."

"This is supposed to be a football audience, and it was way, way over the top," he concluded, after mentioning young women and girls tuning in and saying, "They're not football fans — they're Taylor Swift fans."

Sports Illustrated writer Jimmy Traina shared the clip on X, and fans shared their thoughts about the criticism from Russo.

"He talked about it longer than total time they showed her lol," joked one person, while another said, "I don't understand why who the network chooses to pan to in the crowd during the game bothers people so much. Get over it."

But others agreed with Russo, such as people who wrote, "The Dog is absolutely correct!!!" and "He was spot on as usual."

Swift and her TV coverage at NFL football games has been a hot topic ever since she went public with her relationship, but even the singer isn't a fan, telling TIME, "I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in...I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads."

Luckily for people like Russo, they will get a break from the Swift coverage on NFL, as the season is officially over after the Chiefs' Super Bowl win.
