Chris Pratt Told to 'Be a Better Man' After 'Dissing' Ex-Wife in Mother's Day Post

Chris Pratt is getting a ton of criticism (and some support!) from followers on social media thanks to his Mother's Day post on Sunday. Specifically due to the fact that he left out his ex-wife Anna Faris, who is the mother of his son Jack.

In the post—which featured Chris's wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, his mother-in-law Maria Shriver, and his mom Kathy Pratt—the actor wrote, "Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers out there. Especially grateful today for Katherine. You’re a wonderful partner. You’ve provided me such a blessed life. Our two daughters are so lucky to have you and you’re the best step mama to Jack. And to my mom, Kathy, you raised us with such love and light and laughter— so grateful for you today and always. And to Maria, the best Mama G, I’m lucky to have you as a mother-in-law. And to all of the other moms in my life, I’m so grateful for all you do- thank you so much. Hope you feel celebrated today."

Fans are upset that Chris didn't mention Anna, with comments like, "What about your first wife? she's being super mom raising your first child" and "Oh yes, lets leave out Jack's mom, the one who gave you your first child." That said, several people jumped to his defense and said Anna was included with "all of the mothers out there."

Either way, this isn't the first time Chris has faced backlash on the social media platform. Back in November, he got some heat for a post dedicated to Katherine and their daughter that seemed to almost shade the family he made with Anna, saying "Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!? We met in church. She’s given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes i put in my ear buds to drown it out, but that’s love! She helps me with everything. In return, periodically, I open a jar of pickles. That’s the trade. Her heart is pure and it belongs to me. My greatest treasure right next to my Ken Griffey Jr Upper Deck Rookie card. Which if you know, you know is saying a lot. It’s her birthday in about 6 weeks. So if I don’t get her anything, I’ll tell her to look back on this post. Love you honey. ❤️❤️"

Things got so intense that Anna's name started trending on Twitter, with many fans calling out the note about Katherine giving him a "gorgeous healthy daughter" while Anna has spoken publicly about their son's health issues.

The internet seems to have a love/hate relationship with the man known to many as Star-Lord, but that doesn't stop people from seeing his movies — Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is close to hitting $550 million in earnings at the box office.
