Chris Pratt shows heart — and a glam makeup job — after getting primped with cancer-stricken teen

Chris Pratt got his glam on for a good cause.

The actor, who will be seen later this month in Avengers: Infinity War, found himself called upon to make the day of a young fan in need. On Wednesday, he hung out with Jacob Monday, who is a 16-year-old from upstate New York who has terminal cancer. The teen, who has a rare form of bone cancer, has a bucket list he’s working through and it included meeting his favorite movie star.

On the agenda for the special hangout was to get their hair and makeup done together — like real movie stars. Pratt shared a photo of them living “that glam life,” and Monday shared pics as well. Celebrity makeup artist Bridget Brager did the deed and the fellas sure looked pretty. They did their best silly faces too.

Monday, whose story can be found on his GoFundMe page, also wanted to increase his social media following. Yesterday, he had 170 on Instagram and now he has 112,000. The experience was an emotional one for Pratt, a father of one with ex Anna Faris, who noted, “Take a moment to hug your kids.”

If it seems that the stars from your favorite superhero movies are often giving back in this way, you’re right. Last month, we were touched by several of the Avengers — including Chris Evans, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, Mark Ruffalo, and Elizabeth Olsen, as well as Deadpool‘s Ryan Reynolds and others — stepping up to fulfill the dying wish of 11-year-old Emilio Pachón by sending the boy videos and supportive messages. The boy died soon after.

And these aren’t one-offs. Pratt does a lot of work with his hometown Seattle Children’s Hospital to spread good tidings. He and Evans once had a Super Bowl bet and, as a result, both appeared at that hospital, with Evans in costume as Captain America, to cheer up kids.
