Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger have shared the first photo of their newborn daughter, just after news broke that the couple had welcomed their first child together.

They each shared the same Instagram photo of daughter Lyla's hand, writing, "We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn’t be happier and we feel extremely blessed!

Love, Katherine and Chris."

Pratt also added two Psalms from the Bible in his post, writing, "Psalm 126:3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy" and "Psalm 127:3-4 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate."

Katherine's brother Patrick Schwarzenegger broke the news of Lyla's arrival to Entertainment Tonight, telling the outlet, "They're doing great — just got her a little gift."

Schwarzenegger announced the pregnancy back in April.

"I'm really lucky to be living in very close proximity to my family, which has been very helpful," she said at the time, adding that Pratt was being a "very wonderful husband."

It's the first child for Pratt and Schwarzenegger. Pratt also shares a son, Jack, with his ex-wife, Anna Faris.
