Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger Are Engaged
What reportedly seemed inevitable to their friends in September has happened: Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger, the 29-year-old daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, are engaged. Pratt announced the news on Instagram early this morning.
"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go! 💍🙏♥️" Pratt wrote. He shared a photo of him and Schwarzenegger hugging, her new diamond ring on full show.

Schwarzenegger and Pratt started dating in April last year. Their engagement comes a little over a year after Pratt and Anna Faris ended their 8-year marriage in August 2017. Faris has also moved on though and is dating cinematographer Michael Barrett. The four had a double date on Halloween when they took Pratt and Faris's son Jack trick-or-treating.
Back in November, a source told Us Weekly that Pratt and Schwarzenegger understand that their relationship has moved fast. But at the same time,"they both know it’s right and that they are so happy together," the source explained.
Then, a source told the outlet that Pratt was planning to propose imminently, and “they’ll be engaged soon.” In September, People reported those around them suspected the same thing would happen eventually.
“They’re such a great fit together,” the source explained to People then. “It’s only been a few months but Chris and Katherine are both very serious about the relationship and their friends wouldn’t be surprised if they got engaged sooner rather than later. Katherine has spent time with Chris’ family and they all love her too. She fits in really well with them and vice versa.”
