Chris Pratt And Katherine Schwarzenegger Just Shared The First Photos Of Their Baby

Chris Pratt, 41, and Katherine Schwarzenegger, 30, daughter of Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, have a reason to celebrate in 2020. The couple just welcomed their first child together, a baby girl name Lyla Maria Pratt.

"The couple is so excited for their new addition and have been showered with love from their family and friends," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "Chris was there for the the birth and the couple can’t stop taking their eyes off their daughter. Katherine and Chris are doing well and Katherine is enjoying the experience of being a first time mother."

But wait, who is Katherine? Unlike Chris's ex-wife Anna Faris, Katherine is not an actress, but rather an author and blogger, according to her Instagram account. She's also written three books, including the self-help manual Rock What You've Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty from Someone Who's Been There And Back.

Chris and Katherine had a whirlwind romance, and here's a rundown of their full relationship timeline:

August 2017: Chris Pratt announced his separation from wife Anna Faris.

Chris shared the announcement on his Facebook page, saying "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed."

April 2018: Anna opened up about their split.

Anna said about her divorce in April 2018: "What Chris and I try to do is to communicate openly. We reiterate that there aren't rules to this. We have a lot of love and friendship, and our big goal is to protect Jack. I cherish my family, my close friends, my child—that makes the rest of it worth it."

Anna has been with screenwriter Michael Barrett since October 2017, according to People.

June 2018: Katherine and Chris first met.

According to People, Katherine's mom, Maria Shriver, introduced the adorable couple in June 2018.

October 2018: Chris's divorce was finalized.

His divorce with ex-wife Anna Faris was finalized in October 2018, per People.

October 2018: Katherine spent Halloween with Chris and his son.

Chris and Katherine have been open about spending time together with Chris's 6-year-old son Jack. They were photographed on Halloween trick-or-treating with him, along with Anna and Michael, according to People.

Christmas 2018: The couple celebrated Katherine's birthday.

Chris shared his first photos with Katherine on his Instagram right before Christmas 2018, captioning the photo with "Happy Birthday Chief! Your smile lights up the room. I’ve cherished our time together. Thrilled God put you in my life. Thankful for the laughs, kisses, talks, hikes, love and care.♥️🍾🎉🎂"

January 2019: Chris and Katherine got engaged!

On January 14, Chris proposed to Katherine (with a seriously gorgeous ring, btw) and shared the news with his Instagram followers in the sweetest way.

"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go! 💍🙏♥️."

Since then, Katherine told Entertainment Tonight that planning their wedding has been a total team effort (even with Chris's seriously busy movie-shooting schedule). "I mean, I feel like we're all really involved in wedding planning," she said. “I think that, for me, my family is very involved. I'm very involved, [Chris is] very involved so it's a great combination of everything and just a really exciting and fun [time]."

April 2019: Chris and Katherine made their red carpet debut at the Avengers: Endgame premiere.

The newly engaged couple was all smiles and laughs as they walked the red carpet (okay, **technically** purple carpet) at the premiere of Chris's latest movie, Avengers: Endgame. Chris is reprising his role as Peter Quill/Star-Lord for the newest installment fo the Marvel franchise, after playing the character in the Guardians of the Galaxy films and Avengers: Infinity War.

No matter what role he's playing, Katherine is always supportive of her fiancé. When Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (for which Chris voices protagonist Emmet) premiered, she took to Instagram to gush over her soon-to-be hubby's work ethic. "So incredibly proud of my amazing, talented and hardworking fiancé everyday, but especially today because his movie, THE LEGO MOVIE 2, IS FINALLY OUT!" she wrote. "These special little characters... Emmet and Rex are voiced by my love, and he did such a great job!"

June 8, 2019: Chris and Katherine got married in an intimate ceremony.

One year after meeting, the couple tied the knot at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California.

Reflecting on their wedding day in an Instagram post, Katherine wrote: "Yesterday was the best day of our lives! We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love. It was intimate, moving and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives. We are so thankful to our families and our friends who stood with us, and grateful to Mr Giorgio Armani, who created a once in a lifetime dress for me to wear, and for Chris, the perfect suit. This morning we feel nothing but blessed."

Nov. 2019: Chris promotes Katherine's new book.

After Katherine's book The Gift of Forgiveness was announced, Chris shared many sweet posts of encouragement for his new wife.

April 2020: Chris and Katherine announced her pregnancy.

Chris and Katherine were excited to expand their family together. "After they got married, they couldn't wait to grow their family," a source told People. "Jack will be a great big brother. Katherine always says that he is the sweetest, most caring boy." Adds a friend: "They can't wait for Jack to have a sibling."

"Katherine thinks Chris is an amazing dad. She allowed herself to fall in love with Chris quickly because she early on realized that he is a great family guy," according to the source. "She loves being an extra mom to Jack."

August 2020: Katherine gave birth to a baby girl.

The proud parents confirmed the news with sweet posts on Instagram. They both wrote: "We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn’t be happier and we feel extremely blessed! Love, Katherine and Chris." Katherine is a new mom, and Chris has one son with his ex-wife Anna.

On his post, Chris added: "Psalm 126:3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy."

“Giving birth was such a special moment for Katherine. She was overcome with emotions when she first held her daughter and was so thankful to have Chris there," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "Everything is new for Katherine and she’s glad Chris is there to help her through everything.”

Katherine's brother, Patrick Schwarzenegger confirmed, "They're doing great—just got her a little gift."
