Chris Hemsworth is going to be back on our screens soon as Thor in Love and Thunder, but he's got other projects on the horizon.

One of the ones we're excited to see is the Hulk Hogan biopic, with Hemsworth playing the famous wrestler turned actor and reality TV star and Joker's Todd Phillips directing.

Unfortunately, it looks like that one might be a while off, as Hemsworth recently admitted that the film hasn't really gotten off the ground in terms of production yet.

Speaking to ComicBook.com, the actor was asked about the film (and if he's ripped any shirts off in preparation for it), and said: "That film's a while away. That's sort of in the development stage you know, and if that comes to fruition, great. Todd Phillips is brilliant. Haven't ripped any shirts off yet, but you'll be the first to hear about it when I do."

Hemsworth is currently promoting his fourth solo Thor movie, which has inevitably led to him reminiscing about his previous movies in the role, including the divisive second entry in the franchise, The Dark World.

"I wasn't stoked with what I'd done in Thor 2," he said. "I was a little disappointed in what I'd done, I didn't think I grew the character in any way. I didn't think I'd shown an audience something unexpected and different.

"And when Ragnarok came along, out of my own frustration over what I'd done – and this is not on any other director or anyone, this was my own performance – I really wanted to break the mould."

Hemsworth revealed that both he and director Taika Waititi admitted they were bored with the direction the character had gone in so decided to do something about it and make things more interesting in subsequent installments. Let's see what's in store for us in the fourth movie.
