Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon Ring in the New Year With Family Ski Trip

Chris Hemsworth and his family celebrated the New Year by joining Matt Damon and his brood on the ski slopes. Hemsworth’s wife, Elsa Pataky, with whom he shares three children, posted a variety of photos showcasing the happy couples and their kids. Damon shares three children with his wife of nearly 20 years, Luciana Barroso.

“New Years at the snow with my love ones. Happy New Year to all of you,” Pataky captioned the photos, in both English and Spanish.

The first photo shows Hemsworth and Pataky grinning happily on the slopes, while another shows the entire Hemsworth brood lined up for a snap. Damon and Barroso can be seen in one photo, flanking Hemsworth and Pataky as they stand on the porch of a chalet.

“Casually hanging with Matt Damon and fam,” one Instagram user joked in the comments.

Though Damon hasn't properly starred in a movie with Hemsworth, the Good Will Hunting actor cameoed in Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). In both films, Damon shows up for a quick scene as a hammy actor playing Thor’s brother, Loki, in a series of cut-rate stage plays opposite Luke Hemsworth—Chris’ brother—playing Thor.

In December, it was announced that Damon and Ben Affleck’s Artists Equity production banner had partnered with Hemsworth’s company, Wild State, to develop projects for film and television. Though the partners haven’t announced any forthcoming projects, Pataky’s Instagram post seems to hint that a Damon/Hemsworth buddy comedy isn’t far away.
