Hemsworth is a proven family man, often sharing photos and videos of himself enjoying life to the fullest with his kids and wife on Instagram. After discovering during a 2022 episode of National Geographic’s Limitless that he has an increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease, Hemsworth spoke to Vanity Fair about how his perspective on work has changed over the years.

“Now, if something’s going to pull me away from my family and my kids, it’s got to be a positive, constructive, collaborative experience,” he explained. “I shot with George Miller on the new prequel to Fury Road, part of the Mad Max saga, and I said to my agent said, ‘That’s where I want to spend my work hours; with someone who is kind and collaborative and interesting.’”

Chris Hemsworth’s children are just like him when it comes to their interests. “We live on about 11 acres along the coast, and then we have a big farm nearby with a bunch of horses on it,” he shared of how his family occupies their time. “And my kids are as outdoorsy and adventurous as they come. India Rose Hemsworth

Born: May 11, 2012

Chris and Elsa—who wed in December 2010—welcomed their first child, a daughter named India, in May 2012. India was named after the country, with the actor telling USA Today: “We love the country and love the name.”

According to Chris’ Instagram, India has no problem getting her hands dirty and loves exploring everything from the ocean to the ski slopes.

In 2022, India joined her dad in the acting world as she tackled the role of Love in Thor: Love and Thunder, playing the daughter of her real-life dad’s title character. In July 2022, the doting dad shared a full-circle moment on Instagram alongside a series of photos of him and India. “Here’s two pics of me and my daughter. One was the first time she was on set 11 years ago, the other is the most recent on Thor: Love and Thunder,” he wrote. “She’s my favourite superhero.”

Despite the privilege India and her siblings may have being the offspring of two very successful people, Chris has been clear that he doesn’t want them to take anything for granted. “I want them to have a great appreciation for everything,” he told People in 2017. “I grew up with very little money, but my parents were my absolute heroes. They were respectful, kind human beings and operated in a way that was constantly inspiring and nurturing and kind.”

“Financially, we’re in a different position, but I want to make sure they know these things don’t come easy,” Chris added. “You have to work for it, and you can’t take it for granted. Success is more about the values we have and the type of people we are rather than the material objects that we might obtain.”

Sasha Hemsworth

Born: March 18, 2014

Sasha and his twin brother, Tristan, were born nearly two years after their big sister. Elsa announced the happy news, along with their son’s names, in a blog post for the Spanish version of Glamour. “You are home! Tristan and Sasha came to this world on [Tuesday,] March 18 just after [the] full moon. Complete happiness,” she wrote at the time.

Chris’ Instagram page is full of fun times with his kids, which include dance parties at home, as well as epic adventures. In June 2018, he shared a beautiful video of himself teaching Sasha and Tristan how to surf—and for a good cause.

“Today is world oceans day! My happiest memories have been spent in and around the ocean. When I was a kid surfing with my brothers and my dad and now being able to do it with my kids is the greatest thing I could’ve ever hoped for,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, we are on a fast track to destroying our oceans and in turn destroying ourselves, every second breath we take is generated from the oceans and without them we die. Everyone needs to play a part. You can make a difference today – and every day – by doing simple things like removing single use plastics, carrying your own water bottle, coffee cup and shopping bags, recycling the plastic you buy, avoiding products that contain microplastics and volunteering for a local clean-up #worldoceansday #loveouroceans @oceana @parley.tv”

Just like India, Sasha appeared in Thor: Love and Thunder. He played an Asgardian Kid.

Tristan Hemsworth

Born: March 18, 2014

Tristan is Sasha’s twin brother, and it’s no doubt that Chris and Elsa are just as proud of him as they are of their other two kids. Ahead of welcoming the twins, Chris spoke to People about how fatherhood has changed him. “It makes it harder and harder to leave and go to work,” he shared. “Being a father is certainly a task. But the best one that I could ever ask for.”

“You have to make an effort and try to stay together as much as you can,” he added. “If we start splitting and doing other things it’s not going to last.”

Tristan joined his dad and siblings in Thor: Love and Thunder as Kid Thor.
