Chris Harrison has responded to speculation that Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette has been canceled.
Hands up if you literally cannot wait for Matt James’ season of The Bachelor? Same, but we still have to get through The Bachelorette before Matt moves into Bachelor mansion and begins his love journey. Or do we? *dramatic pause*
Some corners of the internet are wondering if ABC is planning to cancel Clare Crawley’s upcoming season—mostly because production has been majorly postponed due to coronavirus and the show is dealing with a bunch of recasting (reminder: Matt was originally one of Clare’s contestants!).
But apparently ABC still plans to go ahead with Clare’s season, despite the aforementioned production delays and casting issues. In fact, Chris Harrison shut down speculation that her season was being dropped in the comments of his Instagram, writing, “Absolutely not! Clare’s love story is next.”

Meanwhile, ABC exec Rob Mills told Variety, “I think where this is really great for Clare is that every guy who will be on her season will know there is no chance of becoming The Bachelor, so they should really all be there only for Clare.”
Production on The Bachelorette *should* start up this summer (with The Bachelor filming shortly after) so stay tuned.
