  • Chris Harrison has responded to allegations against Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss.

  • Mike is under investigation due to allegations of violence against his pregnant wife Laura Kaeppeler, which he denies.

Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss is under investigation in Hawaii over allegations of violence against his pregnant wife Laura Kaeppeler, who was granted a restraining order last week. Fleiss maintains that he has not “hurt, attacked, or attempted to physically harm Laura or our child,” but the allegations have understandably rocked Bachelor Nation—and now Chris Harrison is speaking out.

During an appearance on the Bachelor Party podcast, the show’s long-time host said that Fleiss’ situation is “very different” from the show’s previous scandals—all of which have been during production.

“Mike Fleiss and his situation is completely different,” Chris said. “It is a personal, private matter between him and his wife, his kids, his family, and outside of production.”

That said, production is looking into the matter, and Chris says they’re taking it extremely seriously.

“They have reached out to me and let me know they are aware of the situation and the allegations,” he explained. “They are taking them very seriously and looking into them. Beyond that, I really don’t have any comment, and it really wouldn’t be right for me to have any comment beyond that right now. We will wait and see until any more facts come in, and I believe them, that they are taking it very seriously and looking into this.”

As of now, it’s unclear how production “looking into” the allegations could impact Mike's involvement with the show, if at all.
