Chris Evans Opens Up About Life With Wife Alba Baptista

After Chris Evans and Alba Baptista surprised everyone by tying the knot on Sept. 9 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, the 42-year-old actor shared some insight into their relationship in a new interview.
Speaking with GQ ahead of the wedding, Evans shared rare comments on his relationship, describing a bit of Baptista's character and how she differs from him.
"My girlfriend’s really big into people’s energies and first impressions," the actor stated. "I’m not so much, because I feel that I don’t always give off the same thing out of the gate. So I try to really reserve judgment."
Evans rarely shares insight into his personal life, although he featured Baptista on his Instagram a few times before he deactivated his account.
The Pain Hustlers star also recounted how the two spent almost all of 2022 in Atlanta, as he filmed three movies. Evans said that, at the start of the couple's relationship, he told Baptista, "Yeah, I do one movie a year. I try to never work now."
"And then, after like a few months of dating, boom, guess what? We’re living in Atlanta for a year. Get ready. And even when that year was happening, I was like, man, never again," he went on.
Luckily, Evans was able to take a break in 2023, telling the publication, "I haven’t worked all year and I don’t plan to, which has been lovely."
His wife, Baptista, also works in the industry, with a star-turning performance as the lead in Netflix's fan-favorite show Warrior Nun. Although the series was initially canceled, fan fervor led the streaming platform to rethink the decision, and it will now return with a trio of films.
Neither Evans nor Baptista has directly commented on their wedding.
