Chris Evans Celebrates National Dog Day with Adorable Shelter Pups
National Dog Day is Saturday, August 26 and Captain America himself, actor Chris Evans, stopped by Animal Haven in New York City to showcase some adorable adoptable pups in honor of the holiday.

Evans adopted his dog Dodger from Animal Haven and he paid a visit to the shelter in conjunction with premium dog wellness brand Jinx.
Evans announced his partnership with Jinx last year and he told People, "You're always looking for things like this in my profession, finding companies or products that align with your passions, and obviously everyone knows how much I love dogs," Evans told PEOPLE. "Meeting with everyone at Jinx, they not only share the passion, but they have a fantastic product that my dog loves, so it was kind of a no-brainer."
At the start of the clip, Evans says, "There are literally thousands of dogs waiting to be adopted all across the country, just like my dog Dodger."
Instagram users are loving this sweet video, and @DrWhite commented, "Ok this guy could not be any more handsome his love for dogs, gahhhhhh! I hope he brought lots of awareness to "adopt don’t shop." @Iamn added, "If people don’t use their celebrity for this purpose, they don’t deserve it!"
In the sweet video, Evans hands out Jinx dog treats to the precious pups and Jinx is generously donating a year’s worth of dog food to the future adopters of the dogs featured in this video. In addition to this, People reports that "To keep the National Dog Day celebrations going, Jinx is increasing their give-back donations to 5 percent of all online purchases through the end of the month as part of their ongoing Give Bark campaign."
