CHP to hold “Age well, Drive Smart” class May 9th

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — With the increasing senior population of California, more senior drivers are expected to hit the roadways.

CHP is holding the “Age Well, Drive Smart” program designed to provide older drivers with the keys to driving safer and driving longer. The next class is happening May 9th.

Bodies of missing American and Australian surfers found

The class will cover the following topics: How to tune up driving skills, refreshing knowledge of the rules of the road, along with learning about normal, age-related physical changes, and how to adjust to them.

CHP officers will help seniors when it may be time to limit or stop driving and what alternative ways of getting around town are available.

The next class is scheduled for next Thursday at 9 a.m. at the CHP office on Compagnoni Street. To sign up call, 396-6600.
