Who is Chord Overstreet, Emma Watson's rumored new boyfriend?

Well, actress and activist Emma Watson appears to be single no longer. The Harry Potter alum, who starred in last year’s hit movie Beauty and the Beast, is also a goodwill ambassador to the U.N. and an advocate for the U.N.’s HeForShe campaign. Watson is an outspoken supporter of women’s rights and she recommends feminist books via her book club, Our Shared Shelf. Basically, she’s a major catch. Now, Watson appears to be dating somebody new. And you might be wondering: Who is Chord Overstreet, her rumored new beau?

Overstreet is an actor and a singer best known for playing the happy-go-lucky Sam on Glee. Paparazzi photographed the two holding hands in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 8th. Watson in particular looked pretty enamored. Overstreet previously dated another famous Emma: Emma Roberts. His other rumored past relationships include Dallas Lovato (Demi’s big sister), actress Brooke Butler, and actress Ashley Benson.

Career-wise, Overstreet has focused primarily on music since Glee ended in 2015. He’s a Nashville native with a songwriter for a dad and musical siblings. (His brother Nash is in the band Hot Chelle Rae). In 2015, Overstreet actually signed with Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas’ record label Safehouse. Since then, he’s released a few singles and a 2017 EP, Tree House Tapes.

Overstreet and Watson were seen together back in February at a Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats concert.

But other than that tidbit, we don’t yet know when they met or how long they’ve been potentially dating. Watson has historically been pretty private about her personal life (for good reason). So we probably shouldn’t expect to hear too much actual information from Watson herself. Though, of course, “insider sources” will abound in the tabloids.
