I think about cookies all day, every day. What kind I want to make next (chocolate chip 90% of the time), which recipe to try, and who to share them with (this part is the most challenging). Needless to say, I can relate to Cookie Monster. But don't we all?

These adorable treats celebrate our favorite blue monster in the best way possible: cookies on cookies! All the little cookie monsters in your life will go insane for them. And even if you don't want to admit it, you will too.

We found the idea on Pinterest (surprise, surprise!) and have been crazy for them ever since. Thank you, Easy Baked blog, for your Oreo decorating brilliance. We tweaked our recipe to include melted white chocolate chips (which we dyed blue) instead of candy melts. We much prefer them in taste, but either will work.

The best part is that making them is way easier than baking a batch of cookies. If you're old enough to eat them, you're most likely fully capable of making them too. However grown-ups, should be on microwaving duty. Once the Oreos are dipped, the rest is pretty self explanatory. Sprinkle the tops with blue sanding sugar and add the candy eyes. Then each Cookie Monster needs a cookie of course! So feed him a Cookie Crisp. It may be cereal, but it sure has heck tastes like a mini chocolate chip cookie.
