Chloe Bailey looked like modern-day royalty at the 2021 Met Gala.

Arriving hand-in-hand with her sister Halle Bailey, the “Have Mercy” singer herself tapped Rodarte for her evening attire in a flowing white gown from the brand. The design included a cinched torso with a dipped neckline and high-leg slit, all held together with a billowing silk cape. The look came accessorized with unmissable jewels, as well, from Messika Jewelry and Lorraine Schwartz.

On her feet, the 23-year-old tapped one of 2021’s biggest footwear trends in a metallic thong sandal, courtesy of Arielle Baron.

Continuing to be a breakthrough trend, thong-toe footwear returned to the celebrity scene last year as one of its biggest shoe styles and stuck around in 2021. Be it classic flip-flops or thong-toe heels, the minimalistic silhouette falls in line with the aforementioned ’90s-inspired revitalization of fashion. Stars like Kendall Jenner along with Meryl Streep, Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez amongst other well-known names are continuing to support the trend even as we begin to approach cooler temperatures.

Even when she isn’t in thong sandals or retro-chic attire, Chloe Bailey herself stays ahead of top trends. The “Do It” singer favors everything from latex Attico minidresses and Tamara Mellon sandals to head-to-toe Ivy Park x Adidas sets.

The 23-year-old credits her looks to stylist Zerina Akers who also helps style her sister Halle Bailey as well as Beyoncé.
