Chlöe Is a Knockout in an Abstract Gold Dress at the 2022 Met Gala
Chlöe is once again dominating at the Met Gala.
At tonight's fashion extravaganza, the singer, whose full name is Chloe Bailey, opted for an abstract glittering gold dress from Area. The gown, which featured a thigh-high leg slit, included an asymmetrical bust and a structured waist. She additionally upped the ante with her accessories, wearing two long gold wings as a choker necklace and a pair of reflective gold pumps.
On the carpet, Chlöe said she chose her outfit because she "wanted to feel really majestic." She also touched on the absence of her younger sister, Halle Bailey, whom she attended the Met Gala with last year.
"A little heartbroken because my sister Halle isn’t with me," she said. "But I’m trying to rep for the both of us tonight."
Chlöe previously talked about leaning into her own personal style during a joint interview with Halle this past January.
"I think we're learning that we should always be comfortable no matter what we wear. But sometimes, even I forget that and will be like, 'I'll just wear it for a few minutes if it's cute," Chloe tells BAZAAR.com. "It's also about taking risks and making mistakes, or even great decisions, sometimes."
Halle echoes her older sister's sentiment, adding, "We're just trying to embrace our skin from the inside out. As I get older, I'm becoming more comfortable in my body and learning to embrace it."
