Chisholm Trail hosts popular quilt workshops

KINGFISHER, Okla. (KFOR) – The barn quilt beginner workshops are back by popular demand at the Chisholm Trail Museum.

Chisholm Trail Museum is set to hold two of its beginner barn quilt workshops 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 7-8, 2024.

Red Ridge Nature Preserve planning for future

According to Chisholm Trail the barn quilts, square-shaped boards painted to resemble a quilt block and placed on any structure, have evolved into a rural development initiative to boost tourism in communities.

OSU Extension Educator Lindy Hoel will lead both workshops, and each participant will complete their own Barn Quilt to proudly display at home.

When: June 7 or 8, from 9:00 – 4:00.

Who: Adults or teens with a parent
Cost: $60.00 (lunch included)

Registration is limited to 24.
