Chipotle is about to make your day.

On Tuesday, the fast-casual restaurant announced it's bringing back its beloved Chicken al Pastor to its restaurants around the world. But if you want a bite of one, you better act quickly.

The dish, which debuted in March 2023, marked Chipotle's first "global menu innovation," as it was released across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, and Germany. The dish is a rather labor-intensive one for the brand as it's prepared daily in small batches and is made with grilled chicken slathered in a marinade made with seared morita peppers, ground achiote, pineapple, fresh lime, and cilantro. But fans quickly appreciated all the effort, making it an instant hit.

"About one in five transactions included Chicken al Pastor when it was featured on our menu last year," Chris Brandt, the chief brand officer of Chipotle, shared in a statement provided to Food & Wine.

Sadly, the menu item was just a limited-time offering. But, as Chipotle noted, there have been three times more requests to bring back the Chicken al Pastor on social than any other limited-time offering. So, it's obliging.

"Given the performance and the fans wanting its return so enthusiastically, we are thrilled to make this the fastest item to ever come back to Chipotle,” Brandt added.

Fans can also get the chicken in bowl form, which features white rice, black beans, tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, cheese, and, yes, guac.

“The rich flavor of our Chicken al Pastor shines in the fan-favorite bowl," Nevielle Panthaky, the vice president of culinary at Chipotle, added. "Each ingredient layers for the perfectly balanced bite with the right level of sweetness, acidity, and heat. It is simple, flavorful, unbelievably delicious, and has everything you crave.”

The bowl is available to order in the Chipotle app, Chipotle.com, and Chipotle.ca. Chipotle is also offering a $0 delivery fee on all Chicken al Pastor orders placed through the Chipotle app and website from March 14 through March 24 in the U.S. and Canada.

Those in the U.K. will get the offer via Uber Eats orders of at least £15 from March 14 to March 28, and those in France can get the offer via Deliveroo over the same dates. But, again, order quickly. You never know when the bowl could disappear off menus again.
