Chip and Joanna Gaines Show Major PDA During Rare Red Carpet Appearance

HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines traded in their paint-stained overalls for something a bit more dapper. The couple attended the 2022 Creative Arts Emmys, where the past year's top shows were honored and set the red carpet ablaze.
The Fixer Upper stars aren't new to the glitz and glam of the red carpet, but it's not every day that fans get to see these two all dolled up. After all, between Joanna's latest book release, a new televised Fixer Upper project (castle edition), and being parents to five kids, it's not like showing off their red carpet style is at the top of their priority list.
For the red carpet, Chip opted for a classic black suit and tie moment while Joanna dazzled in a head-turning, red one shoulder gown. Both rocked their natural, wavy locks. We're just wondering how Chip got his hair to grow back so fast after shaving it last year for charity.

The two weren't shy to show some PDA on their night out, either! Joanna made sure to give the paparazzi their money shot when she planted a quick kiss on Chip's cheek before entering the event.
For the first time since Fixer Upper first debuted in 2013, the couple's show that is now on Magnolia Network was nominated for an Emmy in the category for "outstanding structured reality program." Fixer Upper: Welcome Home had some stiff competition against other fan favorites like Antiques Roadshow, Love is Blind, Shark Tank, and Queer Eye. For the fifth year in a row, Queer Eye won the category, but there were no hard feelings!
The couple remained in good spirits and continued their date night by hitting up their closest fast food joint as seen on Joanna's Instagram stories from the night. After all, there's nothing like eating burgers and fries in a stunning gown, right?
