Chip & Joanna Gaines Just Teased a Major New Project

Hot on the heels of Chip and Joanna Gaines’s hotel announcement, the renovation gurus are getting started on another major project.

Today, on her Instagram Stories, Joanna hinted that she and Chip are back in front of the camera and getting their hands dirty with a mysterious post.

Gaines captioned a snap of Chip being filmed, “Cabinet install day at the Gristmill.” Although the Fixer Upper alums are no strangers to the small screen, it appears they’re not filming a segment for their Magnolia blog or social media. In fact, they’re officially getting started on the content for their forthcoming TV network.

A source familiar with the network shared with PureWow exclusively that the Gaines duo have “definitely started filming again.”

The source went on to say that Chip and Jo have, “a few different potential projects and show concepts in the works, but things are definitely ramping up for the new network and their return to television.” That’s music to our ears.

Judging from Joanna’s pic, the couple is taking on a seemingly large renovation at a place called Gristmill. There is a historic restaurant in their hometown of Waco, Texas, called Homestead Gristmill that’s a former Teeter mill. According to the eatery’s website, they ground their own wheat, corn, oats, rye, spelt, rice, buckwheat and soybeans. It’s possible that the Gaines duo could be revamping this restaurant. Or, they could also be working on renovating a literal gristmill, which is a mill used for grinding grain, into a home, work space or something equally as interesting.

We can’t wait to see what those two are up to.
