Chip and Joanna Gaines Are Currently Casting for Season 6 of 'Fixer Upper'—Here's How to Apply

From House Beautiful

Last week, Chip and Joanna Gaines made the exciting announcement that their hit show, Fixer Upper, will be returning for a brand new season. Now, the renovation experts are looking to cast for season six, which will air on the Gaines' forthcoming TV network, Magnolia Network.

Under the Frequently Asked Questions section on Magnolia Network's website, there's a list of guidelines for those interested in applying to be on the new season of Fixer Upper. To qualify, you have to be a current homeowner in Waco, Texas or the final process of closing on a home within 30 miles of Waco. Additionally, homeowners must be at least 21 years old.

To be on the show, you'll have to shell out a sizable chunk of change for the renovation. According to the website, applicants must have at least a $50,000 reno budget. Homeowners featured in the new season must also "be willing to turn over complete design control of the project to Chip and Joanna Gaines, their design and construction teams, and Magnolia Network."

Applicants should be able to start renovation in early fall 2020. While the website doesn't provide a specific date, fall is right around the corner so homeowners should be ready for a home reno soon. They'll also need to make living arrangements somewhere else since they'll need to vacate the property for the duration of the renovation.
