Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Baby Isn’t the Only Newborn on Their Farm

Just three days after Chip and Joanna Gaines announced the birth of their baby boy, the former HGTV stars have even more good news to celebrate: Their pig has some newborn babies of her own!

Chip took to Instagram today, June 26, to post a photo of the animal and her little ones. “Errbody having babies round here. #farmlife,” he captioned the picture, which shows the mama pig resting in a corner with six piglets. Five of the newborns are purely pink, while the sixth has black on both its head and back leg.

As Fixer Upper fans know, Chip, Joanna, and their five children — 13-year-old Drake, 11-year-old Ella, nine-year-old Duke, eight-year-old Emmie Kay, and the newest addition, Crew — run a family farm that’s home to various animals including pigs, goats, cows, and chickens.

“Getting up at four in the morning to tend the farm while the world is quiet — feeding animals, mucking stalls, gathering eggs, filling water troughs, checking fences, letting animals out into the field — is a high point to my day,” Chip wrote in his autobiography, Capital Gaines, according to CNBC. “It probably would be wiser, from a time-management standpoint, if I hired a crew to take care of the farm so I could get a little more rest. But the thing is, when I start my morning out there, I’m more productive for the rest of the day.”
