The lives of Chip and Joanna Gaines revolve around taking risks together and going for their dreams, whether that be business ventures, writing books, or starring in their tv show, "Fixer Upper." The pair works together effortlessly while sporadically flirting throughout the Build Series NYC interview.

On his new book, "Capital Gaines: Smart Things I Learned Doing Stupid Stuff," Chip says, "Go for it even if it doesn't work out the way you'd hope it could. The lessons you learn in those failures...for me have been the most valuable experiences in my entire life." He hopes to inspire people to really "go for it" and take the risk to pursue their passions.

Joanna confidently shares with us that she, too, was inspired by Chip's motivation and courage to face failure. "For me I got to have that first hand experience as him as literally my biggest cheerleader, a coach, but I see him do this with everyone else around us, our friends, our family," Joanna tells the audience, smiling back at Chip.

As Season 5 of "Fixer Upper" comes out this November, Chip even reveals that his new scruffy look was a risk for him. "I decided I wanted to do something a little bit different. I got the crew together...They unanimously voted for me to go for it."

Joanna and Chip admire the book cover and both agree that the new bearded look was a risk that paid off. "When he saw this he said, 'This is the real me. I want this one out there' ... That's what I love about him. It's the raw Chip," Joanna says.

In response to their hit show "Fixer Upper" coming to end after this upcoming season, Joanna says, "We're just leaving because it's right instinctively for us and our family."

"We don't let success govern our next move. When we take a step back and focus on the things that are really important to Jo and I, we have been proven time and time again, it pays dividends," Chip said, reiterating that they want to focus on their growing kids.

The couple truly lives by the mantra, "Go for it" in everything that they do. "Capital Gaines: Smart Things I Learned Doing Stupid Stuff" is out today and catch Chip and Joanna on "Fixer Upper" next month on HGTV.
