Chip and Joanna's Magnolia Market at the Silos is Getting a $10.4 Million Expansion

From House Beautiful

Chip and Joanna Gaines may just be the world's busiest (and best, but I may be biased) couple-they're launching their own television network with Discovery, run their business, Magnolia Market, raise five kids, and so much more. Their most recent venture, though, isn't just a plain ol' house flip-it's a $10.4 million renovation.

According to The Waco Tribune, the Gainses are officially expanding Magnolia Market at the Silos, including adding a Wiffle ball field, more shops, gardens and an entire relocated historic Waco church that was built in 1894-among a ton of other things. Their plan has already been set in motion, and crews are currently converting nearby buildings into a coffee shop and a Magnolia Homes Furniture showroom.

This expansive-and expensive-renovation will definitely draw even more crowds to the now-famous town of Waco, Texas. The tourist spot and Fixer Upper filming location already draws in an estimated 30,000 visitors per week according to the Tribune.

The plans change up Magnolia Market's main entrance, too-it'll now be where the gravel parking lot was, and the actual parking lot will be turned into a "retail village" with five new buildings and two new bathrooms. I'm about to book my plane ticket!

Other additions to the Silos include a fun splash pad for kids, brick walkways, shaded landscaping, and more lighting to the area for aesthetic and advanced safety.

"We're still in the final stages of solidifying our master plan for the area, but we expect the entire project to be complete by the end of the year," Chip and Joanna said in a statement emailed to The Dallas Morning News. "Additional construction details and site plan information will be available in the coming weeks, but our hope with this project is to create an active and beautiful community space for Wacoans and visitors alike."
