"Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" Cancelled on Netflix After Two Seasons

From Seventeen

Looks like classes won't be back in session for another year at Baxter High and Academy of the Unseen Arts. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been cancelled on Netflix after two seasons (split into four parts).

TVLine was the first to confirm the news and confirm that the final part is set to air later this year.

"Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honor from Day One," said showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to TVLine. "The cast, beginning with Kiernan [Shipka] as everyone's favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show. I’m also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can’t wait for everyone to see Part Four."

With the cancellation, this makes Chilling Adventures of Sabrina the second Riverdale spin-off to be cut this week. Katy Keene was also cancelled after just one season by The CW. While The CW's television ratings are public knowledge thanks to Nielsen Ratings, Netflix's numbers are private and typically never released.

Netflix also released the first photos of the final part after the show's cancellation was announced.

A release date for season two, part two has not been announced yet.
