Childish Gambino Drops 2 New Very Summer-Ready Songs

How’s your summer going? Don’t answer that—it’s about to get a little better. The achingly talented Donald Glover, who performs under the moniker Childish Gambino (though possibly not for long, having told Variety at the Grammys that he’s going to retire that particular name and that “I think endings are good because they force things to get better”) is here to help, following up his hit “This Is America” with a pair of summer jams called “Summertime Magic” and “Feels Like Summer.” The two tracks appeared on Spotify on Wednesday morning under the title Summer Pack; their arrival was announced via Instagram, and the responses were essentially ecstatic.

Childish Gambino will perform in London this weekend, headlining the Lovebox Festival; later this year, he’ll tour North America with support from Rae Sremmurd and Vince Staples. Pitchfork reports that in November, Glover is set to perform new music during the New Zealand edition of his Pharos live experience. Until then, listen above and get your groove going.
