This Chick-Fil-A Restaurant Serves Hamburgers And Tacos—Yes, Really

“Eat Mor Chickin” doesn’t always apply at Truett’s Luau.

When you place an order at your local Chick-Fil-A, chances are high that chicken is a part of your meal. Whether it’s their classic chicken sandwich, a chicken salad, or even a chicken biscuit, the menu has a clear speciality that has been a major success for more than 55 years.

Chick-Fil-A started in the Atlanta area and has since spread rapidly across the nation. All of the standard menu items are the same no matter the location, but if you happen to be in Fayetteville, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, you’ll have the pleasure of indulging in a secret menu item: a hamburger.

Truett’s Luau, which many call the “Hawaiian Chick-Fil-A,” is one of five restaurants created by Chick-Fil-A founder Truett Cathy that is not an official Chick-Fil-A franchise. This particular restaurant gained much popularity online in 2020 and has continued to provide customers with a Chick-Fil-A experience you can’t get anywhere else.

When you pull into the restaurant, you immediately enter into a tropical delight. Outside, customers sit and eat their meals surrounded by string lights and stunning greenery. Inside, palm trees and surf boards transport you straight to Hawaii. There are even ukuleles available for customers to strum and souvenir merchandise to commemorate your trip to this island getaway.

Even if you’re in a hurry and can’t go inside Truett’s Luau, you’ll still get a taste of Hawaii in the drive-thru. All of the crew members wear Hawaiian shirts and are greeted with a smiley “Aloha” before every order.

Luau Burger

Grilled Mahi Mahi Tacos

These tacos are filled with grilled Mahi Mahi fish smothered in a spicy pineapple sauce, topped with luau coleslaw, and wrapped in a warm tortilla.

Island Chicken Sandwich

This fruity sandwich will take you right to the beach. The chicken salad is loaded with pineapple and grapes and served in a warm, sweet bun.

Frosted Hawaiian

This is an Icedream treat like you’ve never seen before. The classic Chick-Fil-A ice cream is blended with tropical fruit juice to create a delicious treat to sip on during your meal.

Sweet Potato Fries

Chick-Fil-A waffle fries are arguably some of the best fast food fries available today, and these sweet potato waffle fries add that sweet kick that is utterly delicious.

Tropical Nuggets

If your favorite Chick-Fil-A sauce is the Polynesian sauce, this is the menu item for you. These are the classic nuggets tossed in a sweet and spicy chili sauce—a fork is recommended!

Pro tip: If you go early enough, you can get these in Chick-n-Mini form.
