Many of our fridges have a few Chick-fil-A sauce cups left over from a takeout order or two that didn’t get used. Because of that, the fast food chain has issued a recall for one of its sauce cups. While they have been removed from restaurants, they may still be in customers’ refrigerators.

The recall is for Chick-fil-A’s sweet and sour Polynesian dipping sauce cups, a favorite for many nugget lovers. A temporary notice is featured on the restaurant’s website urging customers to “Discard Previously Ordered Polynesian Sauce.”

Why Is Chick-fil-A Recalling Polynesian Sauce?

Chick-fil-A is recalling the sauce cups because of undeclared allergens. Some dipping sauce cups packaged as the Polynesian sauce contained a different sauce, although the recall notice does not specify which sauce the cups contained. The sauce in the mislabeled cups includes both wheat and soy allergens as ingredients.

The recall is for sauce cups from the restaurants only. It does not extend to the squeeze bottle Polynesian sauce available in grocery stores.

Dates of Recalled Chick-fil-A Polynesian Sauce

The mislabeled sauce cups were in restaurants between Feb. 14 and 27, 2024. Any Polynesian sauce cups gotten from restaurants on those days should be discarded. Chick-fil-A advises anyone with questions to call Chick-fil-A CARES at 1 (866)-232-2040.
