According to a recent study, teens' favorite restaurant chain is Chick-fil-A. The Piper Jaffray Taking Stock With Teens survey, according to the website, is a "semi-annual research project that gathers input from thousands of teens with an average of 16.3 years." The Spring 2019 survey is the company's 37th semi-annual Gen Z survey of 8,000 teens in the U.S.

Business Insider reports that Chick-fil-A grabbed the number one spot a year ago and first made Piper Jaffray's top-five restaurants list in spring 2012. Chick-fil-A topped this year's list, with Starbucks following just behind. Chipotle landed in third place, followed by Dunkin' in spot number 4, and then McDonald's.

The survey also found that teens reportedly spend approximately $2,600 a year, with brand preferences including Nike, Vans, lululemon, Tarte, and Neutrogena. Eighty three percent of teens own an iPhone, which is promising for chain restaurants hoping to attract that demographic to the slew of apps being created.

Also, food is the number one priority for males in terms of wallet share, and number two for females (behind footwear), according to Piper Jaffray.

Calling all teens! If you haven't tried Chick-fil-A's new seasonal Frosted Key Lime, you'll definitely want to add that to your order next time you go.

Chick-fil-A adds natural Key Lime flavor to its amazing lemonade, plus some vanilla ice cream to make the seasonal treat. It's refreshing, so it's perfect for spring! You can even Instagram it. Or Snapchat, I suppose, since that's the favorite social media platform.
