The episode will air on Oct. 12.

After last week’s game-changing episode of Chicago PD, which saw longtime character Jay Halstead (played by Jesse Lee Soffer) exit the series, fans might be wondering what’s in store for his on-screen wife, Hailey Upton, played by Tracy Spiridakos.

The actress took to her Instagram profile to tease a “big episode” set for Oct. 12; unfortunately, it's not going to be her big episode.

Spiridakos revealed that the episode, titled “Dónde Vives,” will heavily focus on newcomer Torres, played by Benjamin Levy Aguilar.

“I don’t know what I was saying in this picture, but what I DO know is that TONIGHT is this guys big episode! Our new friend Torres is going to light up your screens, don’t miss it,” she captioned a photo of herself and Aguilar playfully laughing on set.

“Love you Tracy!! (you were probably saying one of those jokes) ❤️” he responded in the comments.

According to the episode synopsis, a “shocking murder pulls rookie officer Dante Torres into his own neighbourhood; as Voight and Atwater help him navigate the case and manage tricky personal dynamics with wary neighbours, Torres realizes his life may be forever changed.”

But while Torres finds his footing within Intelligence, Spiridakos’ Upton will feel the effects of losing her work and life partner.

“Upton is going to have some fallout, yeah. It’s a tough place for her to be in. She is just so connected to Halstead who not only is her husband but also her partner. They are so so threaded together in their lives and so to see her on her own and have to navigate that—she certainly gets into some really interesting territory this season as she’s trying to navigate that. She’s someone that’s not necessarily the best at dealing with her emotions. She likes to be in control and likes to feel like she has control of her headspace,” executive producer Gwen Sigan previously told Deadline.

Chicago PD airs Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
