Tracy Spiridakos on 'Chicago P.D.'

Chicago P.D. star Tracy Spiridakos was “killing” fans with new behind-the-scenes photos she shared hours after the eighth episode of her final season aired.

Spiridakos, who joined the police procedural in Season 4 and became part of its main cast in Season 5, is expected to leave the show at some point this season—though fans don’t know when exactly that will be. She announced her plans to leave the show last fall.

Despite her impending departure, the Canadian actress has continued sharing regular behind-the-scenes photos for fans to enjoy, a habit that made NBC’s One Chicago dub her the “BTS queen.”

Spiridakos, who plays Detective Hailey Upton, shared three photos on Thursday, March 28, showing herself and other members of the Chicago P.D. cast as they filmed Season 11’s eighth episode, “On Paper,” which aired on Wednesday, March 27. Her four-part Instagram post concluded with a gorgeous view of downtown Chicago.

In the caption accompanying her post, Spiridakos admitted that she “forgot” to share the behind-the-scenes snaps the day the episode aired. Even so, “here’s a couple behind the scenes pictures from that episode! Hope you all enjoyed it,” she wrote.

Fans who already watched the episode praised Spiridakos’ acting and the “understated and powerful” episode itself.

“You absolutely killed it last night,” one fan wrote as another agreed, “You killed it as always!!”

One Instagram user told the “unique” Spiridakos that she gave fans “a master class in acting.” Another viewer told the actress she possesses “such raw and real talent” and can make audiences “feel so many things simultaneously.”

“Hope you are proud of your performance and the work all cast and crew delivered on this episode,” they added. “Because you should be.”

Some fans were already bracing themselves for Spiridakos’ impending departure.

“The feelings you pour into your character … I feel them deep into my bones,” one fan wrote. “If this is your last season, you will be SORELY missed.”

“Great episode but I'm still sad you're leaving,” one Instagram user commented as another chimed in to say, “Man I’m going to miss you. You’re so talented.”
