Chi Food Truck Fest kicks off at Daley Plaza

CHICAGO —  The Chicago Food Truck Fest is back for another season of delicious cuisines in the Loop.

The ninth annual Chi Food Truck Fest kicked off Friday at Daley Plaza, 50 West Washington Street, and will run through October 4. The festival features a selection of food trucks from around the city every Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“The Chi Food Truck Fest ignites economic activity in Chicago’s central business district and unites a city known for multiple flavors of culinary excellence,” said Mayor Brandon Johnson. “It is one of the best opportunities we have for residents to sample an eclectic array of local food favorites while supporting our small business owners.”

Ken Meyer, commissioner of the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection, says along with increased visibility for food vendors from across the city, the festival should bring more foot traffic to the Loop.

“Folks that may be working from home, teleworking, or maybe even doing a hybrid, come on down on a Friday and really enjoy the food truck fest,”
