Cherry Blossom Festival kicks off in West Pittston

WEST PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Families and friends are celebrating this first weekend of May in West Pittston with an annual tradition.

Saturday marked the first day of the West Pittston Cherry Blossom Festival on Susquehanna Avenue.

Festival goers have the opportunity to shop from vendors selling food and merchandise on the banks of the Susquehanna River.

The festival also features live entertainment for everyone and a bouncy house for kids.

“I think it’s great. There’s a lot of vendors a lot of good opportunity to buy things a lot of entertainment so we’re having a good time. I have my two little boys here with me so yeah, having a great time,” said Michelle Witek.
