Cher is taking Italy by storm this week during her chic vacation abroad.
More from Footwear News
The “Believe” musician visited Portofino, Italy, on Sunday in glam attire, joining friends for dinner in a bold cutout blazer and soft-fitting leggings. Her ensemble also included an eye-catching iridescent purple bustier top; the look taps into this season’s newfound appreciation for corseted silhouettes and bustier designs, spotted on everyone from Kourtney and Kim Kardashian to Beyoncé and Rosalía in the past few weeks alone.
On her feet, the “Burlesque” star prepped for cobblestone walkways by opting against a stiletto heel. Instead, she modeled block-heeled booties with suede uppers and a chic square toe.
Square-toe footwear returned to the celebrity scene in 2019 and has continued into this year as one of spring and summer’s biggest trends. Be it a classic boot, a flat slide or a towering stiletto heel, the minimalistic silhouette falls in line with a ’90s-inspired revitalization of fashion, as seen with combat boots and thong-toe shoe styles, as well as pops of neon color across apparel and footwear.
When it comes to Cher’s style, the singer has been defining trends for as long as she’s been in the public eye. From her iconic Sonny & Cher era to her evolution as a solo artist to now with her chic modern-day taste, there has never been a dull moment.
