The news around the COVID-19 outbreak is constantly changing, but information about food safety and how to keep yourself healthy is crucial right now. Here is a comprehensive list on the foods you should be stocking up on during this period of social distancing, as well as information about your local grocery stores’ changing hours, an explanation of “no-contact delivery,” and a guide on how to help your community and its businesses throughout closures.

Update, 3/27/20: The Cheesecake Factory reached out to let us know that "starting on Monday, March 30 through Thursday, April 16, [they are] offering a complimentary free slice of cheesecake for all orders of $30 or more through DoorDash delivery." All you've got to do to get it is add a slice of cheesecake to your order and be sure to input the promotion code "FREESLICE" at checkout. Enjoy!

Original post, 3/19/20: A free slice of cheesecake is exactly what our collective stomachs (and minds) need right now. Thankfully, The Cheesecake Factory sees that. The restaurant chain closed its doors to dine-in customers–as many restaurants have to prevent the further spread of coronavirus–and is giving away a free slice of cheesecake with every online order for the next few weeks.

From now until April 16, customers who spend $30 or more in their online order get a free slice of cheesecake. All you have to do is use the promo code "FREESLICE" at checkout for pick-up or the chain’s Curbside To-Go orders, and you’re golden. It’s not specified what type of cheesecake you get or if you have a say in the matter. But all cheesecake is good cheesecake, especially when it’s free, right? There are other pressing matters to complain about.

If you’d prefer to stay cozied up in the safety and comfort of your humble abode, The Cheesecake Factory is offering a different type of promo for delivery orders. “As many of our neighborhoods transition from dine-in service to only allowing takeout and delivery, we’re here to serve however we can,” the chain announced in an Instagram post. “Spend $15 or more, and get a $0 delivery fee on DoorDash.”

There’s no limit on how often you can get free delivery or when it ends, so have at it. Every day of social distancing can be a cheat day if you try hard enough.
